One hour service

At our Downham Market and Newmarket practices, we can have your glasses ready within the hour! Simply come in, we'll make you a fresh tea or coffee and you can relax while your glasses are completed.

At our Downham Market branch we have a comprehensive range of single vision stock lenses which includes uncoated and coated lenses. This means many of our patients can have their spectacles in an hour. If you have broken your spectacles this service can also help as as we can make minor repairs to frames or make a complete new pair while you wait, as long as we have the lenses in stock. We can even fit your own lenses into a new frame in an emergency.

At our Newmarket branch we have our own lens surfacing machines which allow us to make bifocal, varifocals and single vision lenses. So in addition to stock single vision (as at Downham Market) this laboratory can produce clear and transitional bifocal and varifocals in just 1 hour. The surfaced lenses can be hard coated onsite but if you wish to have the anti reflection coating this process takes a few days to complete.

Don't be without your spectacles while they are repaired!

Another great advantage in having our own glazing laboratories is that if you require new lenses into your own frame you don’t have to be without your spectacles for a week or two like most other opticians. If the lenses are in our stock then they can be done on the same day, if not they will have to be ordered in specially. We will then advise you when the lenses are ready, arrange a convenient appointment for you to leave your spectacle frames and we will have them ready with new lenses in an hour for you to collect. What could be easier?
